Borough Mayor, Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, Council members, and staff members of the Culture, Sports, Recreation and Social Development Department are excited to announce that the new Pierrefonds Library will officially open its doors to the grand public on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 10 a.m.

Residents are invited to experience the grand opening

On Thursday, May 23 at 10 a.m., the residents of Pierrefonds-Roxboro are invited to attend the opening of their new library and to visit for the first time this jewel that draws on the best practices from 21st century libraries and trends in innovation, architecture and design. All citizens are expected in large numbers to experience this significant moment!

Open house from May 23 to May 26, 2019

In order to allow as many citizens as possible to discover their new library with its thematic poles and technological equipment, the public grand opening will be held in the form of an open house, starting on Thursday, May 23 and ending on Sunday, May 26.

Schedule of celebratory activities

Thursday, May 23 – 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Open house). From 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Borough Mayor Jim Beis will be on hand for the opening of the doors.

Friday, May 24 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Open house)

Saturday, May 25 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Open house)

Sunday, May 26 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Open house)

About the new Pierrefonds library

This project is carried out as part of the Programme de rénovation, d’agrandissement et de construction de bibliothèques (RAC) and funded through the Entente sur le développement culturel de Montréal by the Ville de Montréal and the ministère de la Culture et des Communications.
