The City of Pierrefonds-Roxboro has announced that the new Pierrefonds library, designed by Chevalier Morales architects in consortium with DMA architectes, is nominated for the 2020 Award of Excellence of the Ordre des architectes du Québec. Until March 27, the public is invited to submit its vote for the Pierrefonds library! VOTE HERE!
The library is designed as a crossroads between a park and a commercial hub, which constitute third highly frequented places, the library innovates in particular through the ecosystem vision that it puts in place, which is as interested in the various programs it houses as it is in the relationships that these programs maintain.
A veritable network of social and informational exchanges, all of these relationships take shape in a complex circulation structure that makes it possible to renew the library experience each visit.
The design of the Pierrefonds library also innovates in its relationship to the landscape, in its discreet technological approach, but also actively participates in the scenography of the premises and in the enhancement of the collections, as well as in the way the collections are structured by thematic poles in order to increase their accessibility
