Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation have revealed the recent name of the latest big win. Raymond Rooke from Mississauga is one of the lucky winners of the CA$22.8 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot. Mr. Rooke will pocket a whopping CA$ 11.4 million.
Lotto 6/49 has remained fans favorite due to its simplicity and its extremely entertaining nature. Hundreds of Canadians win prizes and money in both physical and online ticket offerings.
The 59n years old Mississauga man has been revealed as one of the winners of Lotto 6/49 on the 14th April draw. The CA$ 22.8 million grand prizes will be divided between him and another ticket holder from Scarborough.
Mr. Rooke is a constant lottery player and plans to share the money with his family, and part of it goes to the community. Rooke explained that he relies on the same number combination every week. He expressed his disbelief after he found that he was indeed the winner.
The Mississauga winner work in finance, after this big prize, his retirement will come earlier. He said that he would volunteer to help cancer organizations as part of giving back to the community. He hasn’t come to terms with the new reality, he still feels like in a dream.
The Crown agency has also revealed that no lucky winner for the last Saturday Lotto 6/49 jackpot. The CA$15 million jackpot is still unclaimed. However, one lottery player from Nova Scotia has won CA$1 million guaranteed prizes.
In mid-April, two players, one from Quebec and the other from Ontario won CA$30 million in Lotto Max jackpot. The players each pocketed CA$15 million in the 13th April draw-Peter Kinsman is another impressive winner of the Lotto 6/49 jackpot. The 62-year-old Woodstock resident won CA$ 15 million on the 10th February draw.
