One person is dead, and at least four others sustained injuries last Monday after gunshots were directed at an East end Montréal apartment.
Police responded to a number of calls made at around 7 pm, noting that they hard heard gunshots in the 54th Avenue area, on Perras Boulevard, Riviere-des-Prairies.
A victim is said to have succumbed to injuries at around 9:30 pm. Police are treating the incident as a potential homicide.
The status of the four others who sustained gunshot wound remains unclear.
Caroline Bourgeois, the Borough’s Mayor, said they are doing all they can to restore normalcy in the area. Currently, the area is tapped off to allow police to carry out their investigation.
