In a shocking incident in the ByWard Market, Ottawa police apprehended and pressed charges against a man responsible for an attack that left two Halton Regional Police officers wounded. The area around York Street close to William Street became a hub of police activity as they responded to an assault reported at roughly 1:45 am on Sunday. The two injured men were discovered at the scene with severe injuries and immediately conveyed to a local hospital.
While the injuries sustained by the victims were severe, Ottawa paramedics were quick to iterate that their lives weren’t in peril. Stubbs reported that “four or five” individuals were involved in the attack and hinted at the probability of additional charges being pressed as investigations persist. So far, Milord stands as the only person apprehended and charged for the incident. Representatives from Halton police refrained from commenting on the ongoing investigation, as it is being administered by the Ottawa Police Service.
