Improving the quality of life for vulnerable youth, families and adults across 16 municipalities is the raison d’être of NOVA West Island but it takes a lot of money to do so; approximately $1.6 million a year. And without government funding, we rely upon donations and fundraisers to raise this amount.
The 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament is NOVA’s single biggest fundraiser of the year. This year’s event takes place at the Beaconsfield Golf Club, Monday, August 12th from 10:30 am until 9:00 pm. The much-anticipated event includes lunch, cocktails, dinner and amazing Silent Auction prizes.
“Funds raised from the tournament will benefit all of our programs,” says NOVA West Island’s Executive Director, Marie-France Juneau. “Last year, our non-profit organization cared for more than 750 vulnerable people through one or more of our programs and that number continues to grow each year.”
Andrew Stewart, Director, Supply Chain Solutions, Simard, and Co-Chairman of the Golf Tournament, has been volunteering with NOVA for ten years now and has done so for a good reason, “The health care services they provide to the West Island Community are incredible. They are angels! And they do it all without any government funding and this is why the golf tournament is so important to help them meet their overall fundraising objectives.”
NOVA West Island offers a range of services at no or minimal cost through the financial support of individuals, foundations, corporations, municipalities, community groups and through fundraising activities. Our programs include:
