On September 20th, Homestyle Bakery Black Lion Pub in Beaurepaire Village and their suppliers outdid themselves by giving back to the community. They hosted the 3rd Annual Breakfast Fundraiser and donated all of the food and the services to help NOVA West Island.
This event raised money for our non-profit, volunteer-driven, community based, healthcare organization with more than a century of providing comprehensive, compassionate, quality care to vulnerable individuals in the community.
For $20, people could eat a delicious, warm home-style breakfast in a friendly atmosphere. Over 265 tickets were sold in addition to generous donations supporting NOVA’s free in-home cancer and ALS palliative care, free bereavement programs for children and adults, adult day center for adults with cognitive deficits, home support services and foot care clinics.
Among those attending were elected officials and mayors from 5 municipalities and our local MP office. This is a great place to network and socialize with people from various backgrounds, and even take time to stop for a team building activity or friendly gathering. “We thank all those who supported us and made this event a success in so many ways”.
The community vibe was amazing and the event raised more than $7,750. It was heartwarming and motivating to see so many people from the community come out to support NOVA. See you next year!
