Legendary Pro Football Hall of Famer, Terrell Owens, narrowly evaded injury after being hit by a car in Calabasas, California this Monday. This information arrives courtesy of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, who were summoned to the scene post-incident.

Upon their arrival, officers learned from Owens that he found himself embroiled in a heated dispute with the unidentified individual earlier that day. Their argument ensued on the back of a casual basketball game, following which the culprint climbed into a white BMW and prepared to make his departure.

Instead of exiting without incident, however, the suspect swung his vehicle towards Owens as he pulled out. The car struck Owens on the left knee, prior to speeding off and disappearing from view. Despite the nature of the event, the football star sustained no injuries and refused medical attention, the Sheriff’s Department clarified.

Ever the sport, Owens later took the incident in good spirits, jestically commenting on an Instagram Reel, “Hope the car is okay!!!”. The reel featured clips from the preceding basketball match. While requests for comments from CNN have been left unanswered by Owens’ team, the news has sparked widespread engagement nonetheless.

Over his illustrious career, Owens, a phenomenal wide receiver, graced the NFL for 15 seasons. With six Pro Bowls selections under his belt, this football maestro concluded his tenure with an impressive record of 1,078 catches, 15,934 yards, and 153 touchdowns. His athletic prowess saw him play for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Cincinnati Bengals.

The year 2018 saw Owens’ remarkable career being honored with an induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Diverging from tradition, Owens skipped the formal induction ceremony held in Canton, Ohio. Instead, he decided to host his exclusive ceremony in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
