New Exposure Notices Are Being Issued In Whitehorse

Yukon health officials have issued new COVID-19 exposure notices for 3 Whitehorse locations. All of these notices seem to be related to the latest case of COVID-19 in Yukon. The latest case was reported on Monday.

This COVID-19 case is a Whitehorse resident who has been linked to a previously announced case involving a worker from another part of the country who traveled to Yukon. Health officials have decided to warn the public in order to prevent a new coronavirus outbreak.

Anyone who was at the following locations at the listed times on Friday, April 9 should monitor themselves for symptoms:

Canada Post and Shoppers Drug Mart in the Qwanlin Mall, 3 p.m to 4 p.m.
Superstore, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Walmart, 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Anyone experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms should self-isolate and arrange a test by calling 867-393-3083. The test can be booked online as well.

This is the territory’s 75th case. It is the only active case in the territory as well.
