A 33-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Porirua District Court on Saturday, charged with attempted murder following an incident in Kāpiti where a cyclist was struck by a car. The incident occurred on Marine Parade in Paraparaumu at around 1:40 am. The cyclist sustained a broken leg and other injuries. The man is facing charges of attempted murder and failing to stop to ascertain injury.
