A Chinese programmer, identified as Hu Lezhi, has reportedly spent roughly $6.8 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) to convey a stark warning about alleged mind-control practices. Lezhi transferred over 2,553 ETH to several addresses including burn addresses and notable entities like WikiLeaks. This action was highlighted by the crypto intelligence platform Arkham after they noticed the substantial transfer where 500 ETH was specifically sent to a null address often used in token burn events.
Lezhi’s transactions carried accompanying onchain messages asserting that companies and organizations in China are employing “brain-computer weapons” to manipulate and control individuals. He accused Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi, CEOs of Kuande Investment, of exploiting their employees using these technologies. In his messages, Lezhi expressed his belief that he had been subject to monitoring and manipulation throughout his life and stated that these mind-control techniques have escalated the harm inflicted on him.
The transfers, stretching over a week from February 10 to February 17, were linked with a dire warning from Lezhi. He depicted a grim scenario where victims are stripped of their autonomy and reduced to servitude by digital means, declaring his intent to spread this message through substantial financial sacrifice. The cumulative value of Ethereum dispersed to bolster his claims equaled about $6.86 million, underscoring his commitment to drawing attention to what he perceives as a critical issue.
