In a brazen early morning heist in Toronto, a bank in a plaza at Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West fell victim to an audacious crime involving heavy construction equipment. At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a piece of machinery was used to crash through the front of a TD Bank, enabling the culprits to access and steal an ATM along with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Images from the aftermath reveal significant structural damage with the bank’s facade heavily compromised and an abandoned backhoe left at the scene.
