Port Moody, British Columbia, authorities are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body at Reed Point Marina. The police received a call just after 9 a.m. on New Year’s Day and, with assistance from the Canadian Coast Guard, recovered the body of a woman in her sixties from the water. Acting Sgt. Sam Zacharias stated that detectives from the Major Crime Unit are currently gathering evidence and have not dismissed the possibility of foul play. Investigators believe the incident is likely isolated, urging anyone with any information to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
