Toronto police are conducting investigations into two hammer-wielding robberies that occurred Monday night. The first incident transpired at Fairview Mall in North York shortly before 9 p.m., targeting a jewelry store. Four suspects wielding hammers absconded with stolen goods. Three juvenile males were subsequently apprehended, and authorities reported no injuries.
Simultaneously, another robbery unfolded at a retail location on Eglinton Avenue West and Venn Crescent. In this instance, three suspects armed with hammers made off in a vehicle and remain at large. Police noted that no injuries resulted from this incident. Investigators are currently searching for these individuals, described as wearing black masks and hoodies. At present, authorities have not determined if these robberies are related.
