The province of Montréal has said that it intends to shit down its COVID-19 state relief program starting this Friday. The program has been in place since the 27th of March, 2020.
State officials said a high vaccination rate and an upcoming immunization passport program warranted placing the COVID-19 state relief program into alert mode this Friday.
Consequently, all the programs that have been running under the state of emergency program will be moved to regular programs, and it is expected that this will allow the city to resume normal operations.
The city noted in its recent press release that the residents of Montreal must continue to exercise caution to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Ottawa shut down its state of emergency last July.
