Montreal invests in Beaconsfield bike lane

The long-awaited extBeaconsfield bike lane, Rhonda Massad, West Island Blog, Investment of $1.5 million, Fitness, Bikingension of the bike lane on Elm joining Woodland and St. Charles road will be ready in December.

In recent years the City of Montreal has reviewed the bike requirements on Elm Ave. in Beaconsfield, specifically the remaining segment between Montrose and Brown Owl Lane. The new path will finally connect to existing paths closing the link between Beaconsfield, Pointe Claire and Dorval giving bikers and walkers a safe 5 km route.  With a recent investment of $1.5 million in bike paths from Montreal, Beaconsfield citizens will be happy to see bike path completed.

Residents can expect work to start in September and finish up sometime early December. Work will commence at 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday weather permitting. Work may be carried out on the weekend. Traffic in both directions will be flowing throughout the construction period. Bus services may be interrupted at some stops.
