
The Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel and the Sheraton Montreal Airport join forces to make a difference over the Holidays for those in need!
The Sheraton Montreal Airport and the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel take great pride and pleasure in providing Meals on Wheels with 450 home-cooked turkey dinners with all the trimmings and topped off with a delicious dessert for the Holiday Season.
“We are extremely happy to collaborate with Meals on Wheels in this amazing initiative,” said Brenda Rodricks, General Manager of the Marriott Airport In-Terminal Hotel and chairperson of the Eastern Canada Business Council. “Our hotels provide the healthy, nutritious Holiday meals and volunteers from Meals on Wheels deliver them to individuals who are often homebound and alone, providing social interaction and doing a safety check at the same time, an amazing partnership in kindness.”
Marriott will partner with the West Island Meals on Wheels, a completely volunteer-driven service that was founded in 1969. Meals on Wheels, and their 850 volunteers serve 47,000 meals a year to seniors, individuals with chronic illness, convalescing individuals, people with mental/physical challenges and those suffering from loss of autonomy.
It has always been a priority of the Marriott family and their hotels, to give back to the Community and those in need. With the acquisition of Starwood hotels in September 2016 and adding big name brands such as Sheraton to their portfolio, Marriott is able to do even more in the Community. Marriott Business Councils were created by geographical regions to find ways to give back locally. There are more than 100 Business Councils worldwide who help their communities in times of disaster or assist community organizations that help people in need. Debbie Marriott Harrison calls the Business Councils her Army of Goodness.
