A man, aged 32, was gunned Sunday night in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville area, in an incident police have classified as an attempted murder.
The victim sustained lower body injuries, but was conscious when he was rushed to the emergency room. He is currently not in danger, police said.
The shooting tool place at a mall parking lot close to James Morrice Street, after a conflict that witness state started inside a parked vehicle.
The man was shot after he exited the vehicle after which the suspect left the scene and headed in an unknown direction.
After the shooting, the victim rushed to one of the businesses in the mall and called for help at about 6:30.
