A 28-year-old man, Blake Unkovich was recently accused in relation to a series of purported transgressions, such as deprivation of liberty. The charges were resultant of a complaint involving an indistinct episode in a residential area nestled in Perth’s affluent north-eastern quadrant.

The incident reportedly unfolded on Wednesday morning on Hodnet Bend, located in The Vines area, where an altercation involving a man and a woman was alleged. Hints of a firearm engagement catalyzed the response of local law enforcement, the aerial police team, and the Tactical Response Group (TRG).

Law enforcement officers discovered a woman in one of the neighborhood properties on the same day. However, they suggest that Mr. Unkovich hastily evacuated the scene, allegedly brandishing a firearm. The quest to locate him culminated approximately 20 kilometers away in the Kiara district the following day. It was in Kiara he was apprehended and immediately transported for medical care on account of injuries sustained during the previous day’s incident.

The Western Australian Police force disclosed on Friday that Mr. Unkovich has been indicted on 13 alleged counts. The litany of charges incorporates two instances of deprivation of liberty, aggravated death threats, two instances of unlawful acts or omissions with the intention to harm, attempted aggravated armed theft on two counts, the act of being armed in a manner that may incite fear, two counts of unlicensed possession of a firearm or ammunition, death threats, possession of drug paraphernalia and the possession of a controlled drug.

Mr. Unkovich was denied bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on Friday at the Midland Magistrates Court.
