Join the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux in a joyous moment to celebrate the end of the year despite the pandemic. As such, the City of DDO put together a magical holiday parade that will bring out the happiness, the sense of community, and the hope of its residents.

DDO-Holiday-Parade-announcementWith the holiday season rapidly approaching, the City of DDO is gifting its residents a magical holiday parade on Sunday, December 13th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Several floats will travel on two 15 km routes for a duration of 3 hours starting at 10 a.m.
Elves will walk alongside the floats, bringing good cheer to the children of the City and
picking up their letters to Santa Claus.

Non-perishable food items will also be collected, to be given to the West Island Assistance
Fund, a food bank currently experiencing a shortage. You can participate by bringing your food to one of the float stops. Please be generous! Many people in the community are currently in need.

The City is offering this magical parade free of charge to its residents
!

“After such a difficult year, we felt that bringing some holiday cheer was necessary to boost
the morale of the community,” said Mayor Alex Bottausci. “We are so happy to offer a safe
and festive outlet for everyone to enjoy!”

The permit issued to the City by Public Health requires that a few guidelines be followed,
including the wearing of masks, a two-meter physical distance, and no assembly, failing
which the event will be cancelled immediately. In addition, the City will ensure the smooth
running of the parade by providing a police escort. These preventative measures will result
in a happy and lively event.
