Macau Casinos Announce Substantial Monetary Relief to Henan Flooding

The six Macau casinos have announced a substantial monetary contribution to aid Henan province. The province is experiencing heavy rains and flooding that have left at least 33 people dead.

Macau casinos are stepping in to help those impacted by the flooding. Each of the six gaming has pledged to make $1.25 million donations. The fund will then be directed to relief undertakings.

Melco, Sands, Wynn, SJM, MGM, and Galaxy are the six licensed gaming entities in Macau. The Special Administrative Region is the only region where table games and slot machines are permitted in China.

Despite the COVID-19 downsides, the six Macau casinos have exhibited a strong commitment to promoting the community and the country as they lead up to June 2022. The casinos are expected to renew their operating license next June.

In a statement, Sands China President Dr. Wilfred Wong noted that it is the responsibility of the firm to assist in times of need. The six casinos hope that the donations will provide much-needed help to those affected to rebuild their lives and homes.
