I first stepped into Ossiano in Kirkland a few months ago for their opening launch cocktail. The decor is stunning. It makes you feel like you are in a ballroom with a sweeping staircase that a movie star would use to make an entrance. The next time I had lunch, there was shortly after, during one of my We2 Networking events in the spacious room upstairs designed to receive groups of up to 60 people.
The lunch menu is identical to the one served in the main dining room. The menu varies every week so anticipate something wonderful every visit. The price for the three-course meal is $21 from Monday to Friday. That is not a typo.
To start, you can choose from a soup of the day, a smoked salmon plate or green salad with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. All are excellent. I selected the salmon plate as I just loved the simplicity of the dish and the freshness it offers. I did dip a piece of bread in Janice’s ??? soup, and it was creamy and yummy as the harvest season is upon us. As you may have guessed, I sampled the salad as well; it was crisp and fresh.
As main choices, there is a lamb roast on mashed potatoes with melt in your mouth gravy, steak tartar, and a pasta dish. I have had both the lamb roast and the tartar. They were both amazing making choosing difficult. I have a thing for mashed potatoes, and these are top drawer. The tartar is not too spicy and served with home fries. Delicious.
The dessert is always at the whim of Chef Hazel. This time, it was an almond cake with glazed peaches on top. Love…..
This restaurant is a pleasant surprise located right here in Kirkland. There is a great room upstairs for Christmas parties or private events the room holds up to 60 people, time to book!!
As always, please make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
