Dan and I were looking for a fun evening and we landed at the Bijou in Dorval. It is so inviting and comfy I made my friends jealous as I posted throughout the evening. Did you know they have live music every Thursday from 6-9 pm??
There is a restaurant which is gorgeous and a must – but we went for the lounge/bar area and the live music. The big lounge chairs swallowed me up as I enjoyed my Cosmo. End of week – perfect.
The menu is interesting as it has options for 5-10-20 minute dinning experiences. I was not moving so I opted to order from all three. I had Medjool dates filled with Saint-Benoit cheese and bacon. YUM!!
It was poutine week so I had one of their five choices – gnocchi with gravy and mushrooms.
Dan ordered chicken wings and chips with guacamole. Standard favorites for us. Guacamole was smooth and tasty, not too spicy.
The menu is loaded with choices but I had to leave room for desert so we are going back this Thursday to try some other selections. My desert choice was classic pouding chômeur top with apple crumb. To die for.
The music was exceptional. Robert Stefan and Danny Kerr, call themselves R&D, had me dancing in my seat with their classic rock/pop/country hits. I knew every word. They were perfect for the party. I really enjoyed my evening.
Bijou is located at the Montreal Airport Marriott In Terminal Hotel and will have great local bands like this every Thursday from 6-9 pm. No cover charge, free 4 hour parking, INSIDE!!!
I am thinking I might have a gathering for my next celebration right there.
