During this event Chapters Pointe-Claire will donate 20% of sales to Literacy Unlimited, a community organization dedicated to empowering adults through improved literacy. When: Wednesday, September 7 from 4pm-9pm Where: Chapters Pointe-Claire, 6321, autoroute Transcanadienne, Pointe-Claire Literacy Unlimited is a charitable, not-for-profit community organization that is volunteer-driven and dedicated to empowering adults to change their lives through improved literacy skills. For the last 30 years, it has been the only adult literacy organization serving the West Island of Montreal. It enriches the communities that it serves by providing free and discrete, one-on-one tutoring services. It provides value to adult learners and the community by providing a stress free environment that allows learners to progress at their own pace without the adversarial characteristics of formal education, providing some of the learning tools that will help them succeed in their occupations and in life. |
