The Dorval Museum of Local History and Heritage presents, in cooperation with the Société historique Cavelier-De-LaSalle, the exhibition L’histoire méconnue des rapides de Lachine, de 1535 à nos jours. This French exhibition, exceptionally enhanced with the addition of artifact, will be presented from August 28 to October 30, 2016. Most information will also be offered in English.
Dive into history and discover the unknown treasures of the Lachine Rapids. From the First Nations, to the great explorers, to today, discover this powerful body of water, an element that has served to build, feed, carry, and entertain.
The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on Sunday, August 28 at 1 pm. Also, every Sunday, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., come and converse about the exhibition with volunteers of the Société historique Cavelier-de-LaSalle.
The Dorval Museum of Local History and Heritage, located at 1850 Lakeshore Drive, is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.
