The target of the alleged assault is the owner of the nightclub located on East Lake Mead Boulevard in the Sunrise Manor neighborhood. The two were planning a business meeting for the following day to discuss the acquisition of Davila’s share in the club. However, in the early hours before their meeting, the nightclub owner was making his way home when he noticed a van following him through Sunrise Manor.

When he reached the intersection of North Linn Lane and East Owens Avenue, multiple gunshots were fired in his direction, resulting in five bullet holes in his car. Miraculously, he was not injured and immediately reported the shooting to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).

Police investigations led them to surveillance footage from nearby cameras. In the video, officers saw a vehicle registered to Johanna Davila near the crime scene. Upon questioning, police searched Davila and found a gun in her purse, with bullets that appeared to be similar to those used in the shooting.

Authorities further revealed that Davila allegedly tailed the nightclub owner for nearly five hours, waiting for an opportune moment to fire at him. Initially, Davila claimed she was at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, when the shooting occurred. However, she later admitted to being in the vicinity of the incident but denied any involvement.

Despite her denials, police gathered enough evidence to press charges against Davila. She now faces serious legal repercussions, including possible imprisonment if convicted of the crimes. As of Thursday, a second suspect, an unnamed man, had not been charged. Although he denied any role in the shooting, LVMPD officers believe he may have conspired with Davila in the planned attack.

The extent of damage to the victim’s car remains undisclosed.
