The Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe Claire, has 57 patients hospitalized on January 14, at 1 p.m. due to ​​COVID-19, 11 of which are in the intensive care unit.

The hospital has the capacity to take 75 patients infected with COVID-19.

In a recent email exchange with the West Island Blog, the CIUSSS took into account the supplement of space from other hospitals, which are responsible for the recovery of patients with COVID-19, in addition to the cases of the Lakeshore General Hospital.

According to Hélène Bergeron-Gamache, public relations officer of the the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, the situation is stable in the emergency room with a rate of 71% of the capacity.
