Kirkland Library inaugurates Book Sharing Box

989

The Kirkland Library has launched its first “Book Sharing Box”. A small-scale replica of the historic Lantier House, the box was handcrafted by Kirkland carpenters. It is located  at 11 Chemin Lantier, across from the original Lanthier House. In offering this service, the Kirkland Library hopes to strengthen community ties by promoting the love of reading and encouraging an exchange between neighbours.

Give a book – take a book

The idea is simple: you take a book and replace it with one you have already read. There is no charge, no registration and no obligation. Initially, there will be a varied selection of books for adults and children, in French and in English. This is a great opportunity to exchange your books and who knows, maybe even discover some new and exciting authors.
