Caesars Entertainment has confirmed the appointment of a new general manager for the iconic Caesars Atlantic City hotel-casino in an announcement made this past Friday. Karen Worman has taken up the mantle to serve as the resort’s Senior Vice President and General Manager.
Worman is stepping into her new role at a pivotal time for the resort, just as it concludes its colossal $240 million renovation – a key part of Caesars’ $428 million financial injection into the Atlantic City market. The enormity of this project has significantly refurbished the hotel, casino, renowned venues such as the Gordon Ramsey Hell’s Kitchen, Nobu restaurants, and the like.
Caesars Entertainment’s portfolio in Atlantic City’s region encompasses three premier Las Vegas-style resorts including Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, and Tropicana Atlantic City. Worman is not unfamiliar in the vicinity, having launched her career as an accounting clerk at Harrah’s Atlantic City. Her career trajectory took her up through the ranks within the Atlantic City gaming industry, as she occupied roles such as regional vice president of finance for Tropicana, Harrah’s Resort, and Caesars, as well as operations controller and assistant general manager roles.
Moving forward, she will be directly reporting to John Koster, the regional president of Caesars Entertainment’s Eastern Division. Speaking on Worman’s appointment, Koster said, “Karen’s experience, coupled with her successful track record working alongside our Atlantic City team, comprise invaluable assets for us. Atlantic City is a pivotal market for us, particularly at this exciting juncture as we complete our stunning $240 million resort transformation and stand ready to launch the Nobu Hotel.”
