Matthew McGrath, lives in Beaconsfield. He is 18 years old and a non-speaking autistic.
In the last few years he has learned a unique way of communicating using a letter board and a keyboard. Matthew uses a method called Spelling to Communicate, which teaches individuals with motor challenges the purposeful motor skills necessary to point to letters to spell as an alternative means of communication. Matthew is an autism advocate and a member of I-ASC (International Association for spelling as communication).
