Comedian John Mulaney and actor Olivia Munn are celebrating the arrival of their second child, a daughter named Méi June Mulaney. The couple welcomed Méi June via a surrogate on Thursday, as Munn shared in an Instagram post on Sunday.

In her heartfelt post, Munn expressed her deep emotions and gratitude: “I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter,” she wrote, alongside a touching photo of the new family at the hospital. “When I first met our gestational surrogate, we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true.” Munn also explained that “Méi (pronounced may) means plum in Chinese.”

The couple, who married in July, are already parents to their 2-year-old son, Malcolm. Earlier this year, Munn revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy. In a March interview with People, Munn spoke about the essential support Mulaney provided during her treatment, saying that his presence made the ordeal feel less insurmountable.

Mulaney, 42, and Munn, 44, began dating in 2021 and welcomed their first child, Malcolm, in November of that year. Now with the arrival of their second child, the family is experiencing yet another joyful chapter in their lives.
