Comedian John Mulaney and actor Olivia Munn have welcomed their second child, a daughter named Méi June Mulaney, into their family. Munn shared on Instagram that the baby girl was born via a surrogate on Thursday.
“I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter,” Munn expressed in her heartfelt post, accompanied by a photo of the new parents and their newborn on a hospital bed. “When I first met our gestational surrogate, we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding. I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for nine months and made our dreams come true.”
Munn also shared that “Méi” (pronounced may) means plum in Chinese.
Mulaney, 42, and Munn, 44, who have a 2-year-old son, tied the knot in July.
Earlier this year, Munn revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy. In a March interview with People, she spoke about how Mulaney’s unwavering support made her treatment journey more bearable, saying it would have “felt like climbing an iceberg without him.”
The couple began their relationship in 2021 and welcomed their son, Malcolm, that November.
