IT Link Group, a leading European engineering and tech company specializing in connected industrial systems, today announced its expansion into North America with the opening of its North American headquarters in Greater Montréal.
IT Link provides innovative consulting services and solutions (i.e., Google Cloud Platform, Mindbreeze) for the design and implementation of industrial digital systems. The Group plans to create more than 40 specialized jobs over the next three years. “The evolution in digital technological possibilities provide businesses with an array of opportunities to create value and optimize costs, by designing new systems and connected objects, and having them interact with each another,” explained Pierre-Jean Lescole, Managing Director of IT Link Canada.
“Greater Montréal has all the expertise IT Link Group needs to fully support our customers globally and to help them stand out in the North American market. Montréal has the right pool of talent for our industry, including graduates from top universities and engineering schools. This is a key time for us to develop and strengthen our North American presence,” added Mr. Lescole.
“Globalization is no longer an option today, it is a necessity: it’s a way to gain market share and build our brand at the same time,” said Serge Benchimol, Chairman and CEO of IT Link Group.
The Group, which currently has 500 employees across 12 offices in Europe, has spent 30 years supporting innovative businesses in developing their R&D activities and implementing new systems. The new subsidiary will establish the Group’s presence in the transportation, aerospace, energy, and information and communications technologies (ICT) sectors in North America.
“Overall, Greater Montréal offers some of the best advantages in North America for any technology and digital company looking for a business site. Today, we have a growing number of world-class players in this key sector of our economy,” said Hubert Bolduc, President and CEO of Montréal International. “With its Canadian headquarters and anticipated growth in its business, IT Link is putting the region on a strong footing in the tech industry by creating quality, high-value-added jobs,” added Mr. Bolduc.
“Montréal had been competing with other major Canadian and U.S. cities when it was chosen for its multilingual population, the presence of several European customers and its North American business environment, especially its proximity to major urban areas such as New York, Boston and Washington, D.C., as well as Detroit and Chicago, where some of IT Link’s customers are located. Montréal is surely a cosmopolitan and international city,” pointed out Pierre-Jean Lescole.
Customers of the company include Schneider Electric, Volvo, Bombardier, Esterline, Zodiac, GE, Valeo, Thales, Safran and PSA.
