Just back from Dublin, Ireland, Martha Wainwright, a singer-songwriter known around the world for her undeniable voice and the power of her songs, will present her only concert in Montreal on Friday, February 9 at the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre where she will perform her latest album “Goodnight City”. Born in New York City, to folk music legends Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III and living in Montreal with her husband and two children, Martha Wainwright is a true and complete performer who will offer a real one-on-one experience in an intimate and warm atmosphere, where she will perform one of her greatest hits “Traveller”. “I am very proud to welcome for the first time ever to the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre, this exceptional artist of international renown who will make us discover her very last album made right here in Montreal”, said Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, Mayor of the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.
