An information session on the emerald ash borer will take place on May 11, at 7 p.m., at the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre (1335 Lakeshore Drive), in Dorval.
Residents are invited to come by to obtain all the information and share with urban forestry professionals. They will learn, among other things, the control methods, how to properly identify an ash tree, what the City of Dorval is doing to its public trees, and how the subsidy for the treatment against the emerald ash borer works.
The emerald ash borer, a destructive insect, was detected in Dorval in August 2014. Now, it is threatening the City’s entire ash tree population, which represents from 8,000 to 10,000 trees
