Iconic Canadian Tire Money program to receive a make over this spring

1948

Canadian Tire Money has long been considered Canada’s second currency. With more than 11 million members nationwide, and over $1 billion of the currency issued since its debut in 1958, Canadian Tire Money is so deeply rooted in Canadian heritage that it is even included in the Oxford English Dictionary.

Later this spring, Canadian Tire will evolve its iconic loyalty program, Canadian Tire Money, with the introduction of Triangle Rewards.Iconic Canadian Tire Money program to receive a make over this spring

The Triangle Rewards program will enable members to earn Canadian Tire Money online and in-store at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark’s and Atmosphere locations and on fuel purchases at any Canadian Tire gas bar. Members will be able to redeem Canadian Tire Money at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark’s and Atmosphere stores.

Triangle Rewards members will benefit from no receipt returns, personalized offers and content, as well as the ability to track transactions and Canadian Tire Money balances.

As part of the Triangle Rewards program, Canadian Tire Bank will be offering a premium, no annual fee Triangle World Elite Mastercard, which will offer a roadside assistance and concierge service that will include 4% back on qualifying purchases made online and in-store at Canadian Tire, 3% back in Canadian Tire Money on grocery store purchases and 5 cents back per litre on regular fuel and 7 cents per litre on premium fuel at any Canadian Tire gas bar.

“With Triangle Rewards, we set out to create the easiest and most rewarding loyalty and credit card program in the country. We want Canadians to say ‘why wouldn’t I be a part of it?'” said Susan O’Brien, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. “Our first step is giving Canadians more choices to earn and redeem their Canadian Tire Money.”
