The Pastamore team lead by Vince and Richard, have been crafting homemade red sauce classics as well as the most delicious and diverse pasta options at the West Island Market for years. From a bucket-list-worthy lasagna, better than your mom’s, to a meatball sandwich that is the best on the West Island – the only issue will be making a choice.
The best part of this culinary experience is the fact that everything is made daily on site. Freshness is evident with every bite. Taste, taste and more taste. I loved the idea of eating out without the processing that usually takes place when eating in a fast food establishment. The dishes are prepared à la minute right before your eyes.
Dinner for two with salad without drinks will set you back about $30. Beer and wine are available. The portions are so grand that I often take half home for my son’s lunch the next day. The restaurant is happy to give you a container for that. The menu choices are extensive. From a variety of pasta choices paired with a delicious selection of sauces to savory arancini. You cannot miss. The professional courteous staff will walk you through your first order if you need it.
The eatery boasts Ristretto espresso and chocolate dipped cannoli amongst other temptations to close off your dining experience.
Pastamore is great for a quick, casual family dinner or a lunch meeting with friends. Feel free to pick up your dinner from their large freezers and fridges filled with lasagna and homemade pasta and sauces. Dinner can be ready in a snap with Pastamore behind the scenes. The venue is airy and inviting, set up with both booths and tables and chairs. There is plenty of parking available.
Available on site are artisanal Italian oils, cookies, and crackers. Note that there is a collection of gluten-free pasta and cracker options that I usually head to the east end to pick up. Very convenient.
