Social Media Presence is a key to success for small businesses

At a time of uncertainty for many small businesses, there is one place where you do not want to cut back on your efforts: online. If you do not have a website or rely only on a free Facebook page for your business, not only does this reflect poorly on your business, but subconsciously, to your clients and potential clients, it shows that you do not have the budget or desire to market your business professionally. Your website is your calling card, your business card, your face. It tells the story of your company, your products, your services and helps to build trust and traction for your brand and the vision you have in place for your current state of affairs and your future.

If we have learned anything in the past few months when it comes to operating a thriving and successful business, it is the importance of communication and having a strong, up to date web presence.

Instead of seeking out multiple providers for individual services, why not consider hiring a GWD student this summer who can put together a digital and print campaign for you or your business to help brand, market and ultimately, increase your bottom line? From social media advertising (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc) to print campaigns, brochures and logo designs, these students are prepared and ready to show you what they can do to enhance your existing business model.

If you are ready to take your business to the next level, submit a student summer job offer and position yourself for success, now and in the future. Link to submit below:

About the program

Located in the picturesque waterfront town of Sainte Anne de Bellevue, John Abbott College has been a cornerstone in Montreal’s educational and development sector for over 50 years. Constantly changing, ahead of the curve and adapting with the times, one of their most popular programs is the Graphic & Web Design Program, also known as the GWD. This program offers students the opportunity to develop skills in website interface design and integration, graphic design and publication production – skills desperately needed by today’s businesses.

Students want to continue to expand their knowledge and they are fully equipped with Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver) to work from their laptops at home to support your business. They are ready to put their experience and skills to work this summer. Educated by industry experts and professionals, the Graphic and Web Design students in first and second year are looking to put their theory to practice. This is the perfect opportunity for small businesses to establish or grow their online footprint with professional students who are eager to get hands-on experience and are hungry for opportunities to think outside of the box.

Students are fully equipped to work remotely from home using Adobe CC.

Qualify for ATE (Alternance travail études) if you hire for at least 4 consecutive weeks (35 hrs/wk)

GWD students are ready to work with and learn from your team.
