A total of nine artists were selected for this first project, featuring the works of Claire Brunet, Helen Duberger, Louise Gauthier, Joyce Grant, Joyce Ladd, Kantilal Ladd, Francine Lalonde, Rosina Sylvestre and Helga Szecsi. Around 30 diverse creations, which include canvases, photos, pottery, a quilt, an artwork created by the artists the week before the event, and much more, reveal a talent, experience, and wisdom that transcend all of the works on display at the Art Gallery, located on the third floor of the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre.

This unique, creative, and inspiring project that reflects these talented artists was made possible through a careful selection process and meetings, in collaboration with the teams at the Culture, Sports, Leisure and Community Development Department.

“The Hidden Treasure project makes art more accessible, showcases our artists, and helps us to discover local talent,” said the mayor in conclusion.

A cocktail celebrating the artists will take place on Saturday, January 19, at 2 p.m.
