The Happening 2017 is right around the corner!

Save the date for Saturday, January 28, 2017 since preparations are already underway for The Happening! The Boogie Wonder Band, the most celebrated disco band of our generation, will take the stage during this dinner and show gala to benefit the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation (VSPCRF).

Under the honorary chairmanship of André Gingras from Groupe Autoforce, a memorable evening awaits over 400 guests expected at the Pavillon sur le Lac of Château Vaudreuil. Following the traditional cocktail and culinary experience, the dance floor will open after the main show. The organizing committee, supported by the an events production company CUBiX, are keeping a few surprises in store for guests.

“I am extremely happy to support the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation. I have myself had family experiences in the past few years were I was able to witness the significant difference that a palliative care residence can have during the last few days of life,” says André Gingras, President and Co-Owner of Groupe Autoforce which includes Cadillac Chevrolet Buick GMC of Île-Perrot, Mazda 2-20, Île-Perrot Toyota and Île-Perrot Collision Centre.

The testimonials of the families who have come through the doors of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence reiterate time and time again their appreciation for the specialized services and support offered. For over six years these services have been given free of charge to over 950 terminally-ill patients of all ages who have been cared for with respect and concern for their dignity.

“We could not pursue our mission day after day and year after year without the community mobilization and support. The Happening represents for us the most important annual fundraising event to gather crucial funds to operate,” explains Jacinthe Demers, Interim Executive Director of Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence.
