Halifax Police Investigating the Death of Dartmouth Man as a Probable Homicide

A 25-year-old Dartmouth man died on Sunday night; the police investigate the case as a probable homicide. The police say that man might have been shot before crashing his vehicle into a utility pole.

The Halifax Regional Police have not yet released the name of the man. However, Nova Scotia Medical Examiner services announced that the ruling to treat the case as a homicide came after conducting an autopsy, according to a Sunday press release by police.

The police found the man unconscious in his vehicle in a location near Cranberry Crescent and Mount Edward Road. Police launch an investigation over the incident on Saturday in response to Woodlawn weapons complaints.

The police are yet to determine whether the crash happened before or after the man was shot. They are also yet to determine whether anyone else was in the vehicle. An investigation is ongoing, and the police ask anyone with information, whether a video including dashcam footage, to share with police.
