“A huge thank you to all the AMCAL golfers, guests, volunteers, donors, partners, we thank you for helping us raise a record $50,000 at AMCAL’s 15th Annual Family Matters Golf Tournament on September 12th at the Beaconsfield Golf Club,” said Sophie Dalbec, Executive Director, AMCAL Family Services. “It is truly an honour to be surrounded by you all and share this tremendous success with you. Thank you for allowing our work to truly be “a family affair”!
Not only were important funds raised at the Golf Tournament for AMCAL Family Services this year, but guests were also given a small glimpse of how their dollars help support families in need. Standing in front of some 125 dinner guests, 14-year old Eli shared her experience in the Residential Program. With the help and guidance from the AMCAL team and with her mother’s commitment to stay the course with house rules and consequences, together they did what was needed to bring back healthy family relationships.
The success of AMCAL’s Annual Golf Tournament deeply relies on its partners. Special mention goes out to Evolupak, Thomas Paterson, Pictet, TD Securities, Tower Group of Companies, Zagari Simpson & Associates, CASP Aerospace Inc., Coats, Deakin Realty, QMD Medical and Tenaquip.
Other on course activities included a putting contest put on by Investors Groug, Heineken and Creemore Springs Premium Lager beers, hors d’oeuvres from Table 09, Calzone Pizza, soft drinks thanks to Épicerie Prette, snacks thanks to Pepsico, and last but definitely not least, the wine at dinner graciously offered by Vignoble Domaine Bresee. Special thanks to John Belvedere for his contribution of the Roma food truck. Thank you to Jay Peak Resort and Spinelli Infiniti for donating the raffle prizes.
Other special mentions go out to Andrew Carter, long-standing MC, Thomas Paterson & Chantal Desjardins, live auctioneers, and the Golf Committee: Andrew Horn, Huguette Gabrial, Jeff Ayoub, John Deakin, Kim Shaar-Perra, Michael Troyer and Suzanne Yacovitch.
AMCAL is very grateful to everyone present at the tournament for their generous contribution. We look forward to next year!
