Four youngsters aged between 13 and 15 were arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery in Regina. The robbery resulted in five people facing charges, four of them being teenagers.
The police stated that they were called to the Arcola Avenue and Victoria Avenue area just after 3:15 a.m. CST Saturday morning. At that time, the robbery was already in progress. The suspects escaped the scene before the cops arrived. When the police arrived on the scene they found an adult man who was injured by bear spray and had personal items stolen.
The news release said four youth females and one adult male were found near the crime scene and are considered suspects. The youngsters were arrested, all between the ages of 13 and 15. Because of their age, youth cannot be named in accordance with provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Two of them face robbery charges while the other two face a failure to comply with disposition. One youth also faces accessory after the fact charges and one faces an obstruction of peace officer charge.
The adult, a 20-year-old man, faces robbery and failure to comply with probation order charges.
Police said their investigation into the robbery was still ongoing and asked anyone with information to call the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
