Fatal Collision Involving School Bus in Oxford County Claims One Life

In a tragic incident in Oxford County, a two-vehicle crash resulted in the death of one person. The collision, which took place on Potters Road in Norwich Township, involved a school bus and a passenger van.

The incident was reported to the Oxford County OPP at approximately 7:35 a.m. According to making the report, it appears the passenger van crashed into the rear of the school bus.

Prompt response from the local police and paramedic teams ensured the injured were given immediate attention. The driver of the passenger van, gravely wounded in the collision, was immediately transported to the hospital. Despite best efforts by the medical staff, the individual tragically succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash.

In the school bus, the driver, who was the sole occupant, emerged from the accident unscathed, thankfully without any reported injuries. It is reported that there were no passengers in either of the vehicles involved in the accident.

Potters Road, which had been cordoned off between Oxford Road 13 and Middletown Line for investigation, remained closed for several hours. However, the site of the accident has since been cleared, and regular traffic on the road has resumed.
