Many Montrealers have found themselves wanting to sell their household goods by having a garage sale. But with the current COVID-19 restrictions, are garage sales allowed in Montreal?

The West Island Blog reached out to The City of Montreal asking if garage sales are permitted during COVID-19?

They responded with the following, “Due to the coronavirus and in accordance with the directives issued by public health, garage sales are prohibited until further notice in all 19 Montreal boroughs.”

If you live in an independent city (i.e. not part of Montreal), please contact your municipality to inquire about the status of garage sales.

Kirkland: Garage Sales are allowed, with a permit.

Dorval: Garage Sales are allowed, with a certificate of authorization.

Dollard-des-Ormeaux: Not Permitted

Pointe-Claire: Not Permitted
