Scheduled originally as the initial part of a two-concert stop within the city, this performance was to form a key pillar of the artist’s “It’s All A Blur” tour.
Unexpected complications arising from the recently upgraded videoboard at Rogers Arena were cited as the cause behind this sudden cancellation. This information was confirmed through a statement released by Canucks Sports and Entertainment.
To accommodate for this unprecedented disruption, the concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 30. In a bid to minimize inconveniences stemming from rescheduling, Rogers Arena has guaranteed that all tickets bought for the Monday show will remain valid for the rescheduled date.
Despite the change, the proceeding show continues to stand firm on its original schedule, to be held on Tuesday as planned. Emphasizing Drake’s anticipation towards his performances, the venue reassured fans, stating, “Drake was ready and excited to perform. He is looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday and Wednesday.”
Mirroring Drake’s sentiments, Rogers Arena extended their apologies for any distress the unexpected change might have caused to the artist’s fans.
