The annual tradition continues! The fifth’s edition of the Seedy Saturday West Island will take place April 7th, 2018 at the Pine Beach Citizens Association.

“This will be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to buy organic heirloom seeds, get
gardening tips for their garden and support organic urban agriculture in Montreal,” says
Tereska Gesing from Urban Seedling. “Lots of workshops will be on offer to plan your
season. You’ll also be able to purchase compost, organic fertilizer and other items to get
spring underway early.”

Gesing is co-organizing the event with Urban Seedling and Tournesol Cooperative Farm.
The best seed local producers will be present for this event to launch the gardening season.
Seedy Saturdays are popular events across Canada. Created by Seeds of Diversity in 1989,
these events are an excellent occasion for gardeners to meet directly with their local seed
producers to buy their fruit, vegetable, flower and herb seeds directly from the farmers
growing them.

There will be free gardening workshops on the hour all day long, as well as a seed exchange
table lead by Seeds of Diversity.

Pine Beach Citizens Association is at 1510 chemin Heron, Dorval. Visit our Facebook page
