Bite the cold and get out into the snow to celebrate winter at the 2016 Dorval Winter Festival from February 10 to 14! Experience a fun-packed programming and a new schedule offering various winter attractions and lots of pleasure for the whole family!
Activities begin on Wednesday, February 10 with an opening ceremony at the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre, during which will be crowned the new Festival Queen and King, followed by the announcement of the button contest winners. The next day, February 11, will start with skating and tobogganing for parents and tots in the morning, at the Dorval Arena. In the evening, don’t miss the popular Comedy Night at the Pine Beach Citizens Association Hall.
On Friday, February 12, at the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre (SACC), take part in the Klondike Night, an evening of fun, games, and prizes for children ages 5 to 12. Also, in the evening, teens are invited at the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex to play some sports for free!
New this year, there will be a South Pole Under the Stars
evening on February 13, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Dorval Arena. Take part in this festive night with a lit-up slide, inflatable and lit-up igloo, lounge and games, a camp fire, music, percussion players, go-karts, food, and a figure skating show at 8 p.m. Also, don’t miss the amazing laser shows at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 7:45 p.m.
On Sunday, February 14, enjoy a whole day of activities at the SACC, starting off with our breakfast brunch, along with a mini farm, pony rides, inflatable games, slide, mascots, caricaturist, face painting, and lots more!
Post-Festival Activities
As part of its post-festival activities, the Winter Festival will present The last Polar Bears, a multi-media show featuring live action, live music, and lots of puppets! This free show will be presented at 11 a.m. on February 20, at the Serge Nolet Auditorium. Also, don’t miss the much-anticipated Hockey Night event at the Dorval Arena on February 27! Come root for your Montreal Canadiens as you watch the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on a giant screen.
