Dorval to host HHW, ICT Waste, and Polystyrene Drop-off on April 13

1134

The City of Dorval is organizing an environmental drop-off in order to collect household hazardous waste (HHW), information and communications technologies (ICT) waste, and polystyrene particles (plastic number 6) on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the parking lot of Ballantyne Park (520 Bouchard Boulevard).

Dorval residents will, therefore, be able to drop off any ICT waste (computers, screens, printers, televisions, radios, cellphones, and so forth), HHW (paint, oils, antifreeze, aerosols, and so forth), and polystyrene items (in the form of foam or hard plastic, coloured or transparent) at the same location.

Only domestic waste will be accepted at the collection. Waste from industries, businesses, and institutions will be refused.

ICT waste will be collected by EPRA-Québec, a non-profit organization recognized by RECYC-QUÉBEC and in charge of Quebec Program for the Recovery and Reclamation of Electronic Products.

Through this pickup, the City of Dorval can, in a safe and responsible way, dispose of waste materials, which take up more and more space in landfill sites.
