Héma-Québec calls on the Dorval population to participate in its blood drive, which will take place on Saturday March 28, at the Les Jardins Dorval shopping centre. The entrance will be through the SAQ, on Carson Avenue.
More than ever in this pandemic situation, Héma-Québec needs the citizens’ support to maintain the hospitals’ supplies in terms of safe blood products.
Note that the blood drive will be done by appointment only, in order to avoid the presence of too many people at once. Anytime it is possible, a minimum distance of two meters will be maintained between people, and only those in good health will be called on to give blood.
If you wish to participate in this blood drive, call Héma-Québec at 1 800 343-7264.
Please visit www.city.dorval.qc.ca regularly for periodic updates on the evolution of the situation in Dorval.
With the aim of reducing the spread of the coronavirus and following the Quebec government’s decision to prohibit all indoor and outdoor gatherings, the City of Dorval, by means of preventive measures, is closing its playground areas and modules to the public, effective immediately and until further notice.
In order to facilitate travelling and increase the safety of Dorval residents, it will be allowed to park on a public road between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., as of March 23 instead of the usual date, April 15.
Lastly, citizens are invited to continue following the hygiene instructions of the Direction régionale de santé publique (santemontreal.qc.ca/en/public). They are also invited to call 1-877-644-4545 if they develop fever symptoms, coughing, or respiratory difficulties upon their return from a trip outside of Canada.
